Thanks for the alternative recipes!

Last year I made a number of side dishes, appetizers etc in advance of the big day - worked out well! I'm going to do it again this year.

@Chi-town girl   Thanks for sharing.  Will try one of these variations.  My brother gave me one close to @deepwaterdotter MIL’s recipe.  I have been making it for 20 years.  Delicious!  Yep, a stick of butter!  Can’t go wrong!

@CANDLEQUEEN - we like it hot and spicy 🌶 Seeds will be in mine - I hope I picked a hot jalapeño - sone can be whimpy, 😂

@AuntG - we are going to have several veggie side dishes. I'm making 3 of them - this corn casserole, a 'fresh' green bean casserole using the recipe on the bag of fried onions that I bought at Costco using fresh green beans, cremini mushrooms and crock pot mushrooms. 

Our guests are bringing sweet potato casserole and a bunch of appetizers. We plan it such that there are plenty of leftovers for everyone 😉
