chardonnay generally because that is the white i prefer to drink.

occasionally i will use a pinot grigio if there is one open and left over from guests. sometimes i just substitute chicken stock or turkey stock for the wine.

@nana59    I usually use a Pinot Grigio.  Doesn't have to be an expensive one.
