I like baking cookies and my husband eats them.  I got a new book the other day on cookies and I'm going to see if I find anything new.  His favorite is chocolate chips so that's easy.

But I want to see what else I might want to do.

Besides sugar cookies, do you have a favorite cookie you'll be making soon?

I am trying a chewy lemon cookie today.  If it is good I will post the recipe.

Sorry but I have to vote with husband -- my hubby and I love chocolate chip with pecans and I add oats.

I like to make the traditional ones every year and my childhood favorites but always try to add 1 or 2 new from a magazine or those holiday cookie cookbooks that the magazines, Land O'Lakes and Nestle, etc. put out.

It sort of depends on what flavors you like.  I like anything with nuts and chocolate or a new ingredient (to me), so I normally lean towards those.

Here is my Pinterest board with some of the cookies I make.  Many are on paper and I haven't linked to them yet unfortunately.

My favorites are molasses ginger cookies. I just took my last batch of lemon spritz cookies out of the oven. I love baking cookies !

This is the Chewy Lemon Cookie recipe

They are good but not as lemony as I thought.  I keep lemon zest and juice in my freezer, not sure if that is why or not.

I made these yesterday.

I top them with royal icing.

I've never met anyone who didn't love them.
