[ Edited ]

Can you make the world a better place by baking chocolate chip cookies?

     Yes. Yes, you can.

I've been making this recipe for at least the last 50 years:

2 cups + 2 tbsp flour

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp baking soda

12 tbsp melted butter

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup sugar

1 egg + 1 egg yolk

2 tsp vanilla

2 cups chocolate chips

Stir flour, salt, and baking soda together in bowl.

Cream butter and sugars with electric mixer in another bowl.  Mix in eggs and vanilla for a couple minutes.  Mix in flour mixture and chips.

Place tablespoon-sized balls on parchment-lined baking sheet.  Bake in 350 degree oven for about 10 minutes until edges are lightly-browned.

Always prided myself on a family receipe for chocolate chip cookies. Then, I purchased the Cheryl's Assorted Cookies on QVC during Jill Bauer's farewell program. Best brownies, best sugar cookies and best chocolate chip cookies ever!

Hope QVC continues to include Cheryl's items (at ODO pricing or other rock bottom deals) often in their programming. Even with S&H, Cheryl's sweets melt in my mouth and don't bother my blood sugars. I usually only eat 1/2 of a serving! They are all delectible.  Win-win.

@1Professor  Chocolate chip cookies should be the national cookie!

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

I put oatmeal in mine so that is good for your health and I feel less guilty eating them! 😂

The only thing that comes even close is the Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie. I made one for July 4th. Ice cream and chocolate chips.Heart
