BEST recipe I own - DELICIOUS!!!  If I got it here on the forums, THANK YOU to whomever!  It takes time to prepare, which often deters me from making a new recipe, but this is SOOOOOOO worth it.  And it's just the 2 of us, so I have enough to freeze individually for 3 additional meals (6 additional servings).

Ingredients:

16 oz Egg noodles, cooked

1/2 cup dry white wine or water (I used cooking wine.)

1 lb Lean ground beef

1 (10 oz.) frozen spinach, cooked (or use fresh, uncooked)

1 cup onion, finely diced

8 oz Cream cheese

1 cup cottage cheese (I used 2 cups; wasn’t able to find it in an 8 oz. size)

2 cups sour cream

2 tsp garlic salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

16 oz tomato sauce

1 tsp dried Italian seasoning (optional)

1 tsp sugar

Directions:

Cook noodles, drain and set aside.

Brown beef and onion in a large skillet.  Drain grease.  Season with salt & pepper.  Stir in tomato sauce, sugar and wine.  Heat for a few minutes, then remove from heat.

In a LARGE bowl beat together cream cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream and grated parmesan cheese.  Stir in noodles and mix well.

Spray 9 x 13 pan with olive oil and pour and spread half of the noodles in.  Then spread cooked spinach on top of the noodles.  Add the rest of the noodles, then spread beef mixture on top of the noodles.

Bake uncovered at 350 for 45 min.  DELICIOUS!

@AuntG No, not hard... just time consuming - and it uses LOTS of pans and bowls in the prep.  Woman Happy

I can see how it uses lots of pans and bowls in preparation.  I have a few recipes like that.  This casserole sounds delicious.  I'm going to have to try it.  I love casseroles.  😋 Thanks for sharing.

@spent2much

The website Six Sisters' Stuff is where you can find the recipe.

The name is  BAKED SPAGHETTI CASSEROLE.

I tried to copy and paste but I couldn't.
