My husband went off the deep end this morning.... I have been ill for two days since getting a covid vaccine( I always do, nothing new). He has ALWAYS taken on the responsibility of feeding our two westies. One of them is have dental surgery tomorrow and has had chopped up cooked chicken for several days. Well this morning he got upset over all the time it takes to chop up( not shred) the cooked chicken breasts for my male westie!! Of course with me not feeling well, words were exchanged. Do any of you well established experienced cooks can pass on any suggestions on how to CHOP up the cooked chicken without it being so time consuming? Ground chicken is not an option. Thank you all for your suggestive comments!! MJ
@MILKI Have you tried a Pull-n-Chop? I've never actually tried it, but it's worked for so many other things for me - like cauliflower rice. You have complete control over the size of the chop. Of course, you would have to do it in smaller quantities - say maybe a half cup at a time. And, I think it would be better using cold chicken.
I use kitchen shears to chop chicken into small bites. So much easier than a knife and it chops it "cleaner" - no shreds. I often chop up a lot at one time and freeze it.
Hope you're feeling better soon and good luck to your Westie tomorrow.
