I just made some macaroons and decided that I would dip the bottoms in chocolate. I added 2 tbs of butter to 4 oz of chocolate and melted over a double boiler. The chocolate was beautiful and smooth, no seizing. I dipped the cookies and they have been sitting for over 1/2 hour but the chocolate has still not set. What did I do wrong? Not sure how to fix and I don't want to throw them away. Maybe I should put them into the freezer and I am sure it would freeze but how then would I store them? Would the chocolate melt? Please help!
