Chit Chat and Dessert ~ April : )

Happy April everyone! Smile

What warm weather we had for April 1st! I turned my air conditioner back on. It's 58 this morning but supposed to be back up to the mid 80's this afternoon.

I made this pie over the weekend. I have wanted to make it ever since I saw Clinton make it on the Chew in December. His grandma is 92 and still walks two miles a day!

I kept the whipped cream and pears separate and added them to individual pieces. I poached my pears but they turned brown on the under side.

My sons gave this pie a score of 7 out of 10. They said it was good but there are other pies that they like more. I would give it an 8! My husband said it was still good even though it had coconut in the crust. The crust only took about 20 minutes in the oven.
