Perusing recipes for New Year's Eve/Day noshing.

I see no reason why this cannot be baked in a casserole dish instead of a an iron skillet

INGREDIENTS

8 ounces soften cream cheese
½ pound hand shredded Pepper Jack cheese
1/2 pound hand shredded Sharp Cheddar cheese
¼ pound hand shredded Manchego cheese
1/3 cup mayonnaise
4 oz can of drained diced green chilies
1 fresh serrano pepper small dice
2 fresh jalapeños small dice
½ teaspoon chili powder
½ teaspoon cumin
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
¼ teaspoon cayenne
¼ teaspoon oregano
Topping ingredients
1/4 cup hand shredded cheddar for topping
Sliced chilis for topping ( jalapeno serrano or your choice)

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven 350⁰

Combine all dip ingredients in a large bowl and place in a cast iron skillet

Top with shredded cheese and slices of jalapeno or other peppers of your choice

Place iron skillet in oven until cheese hot and bubbly and the top is slightly browned about 20 to 25 mins

Serve tortilla chips, or your favorite vegetables for dipping.

I'd like to see that served in a hollowed out loaf of rye or sourdough.
