Cheddar Beef Pie

 

Meat Shell:

1 pound ground beef

1 egg

1/4 cup onion....minced

3/4 cup Kellogg's Corn Flakes..... CRUMBS

2 1/2 Tablespoons BBQ sauce

1 teaspoon (or less) salt

dash of pepper

 

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Mix lightly. Press  meat mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9 inch piepan. Bake at 400* for 12 - 15 minutes. Drain. Set aside while you make 

filling. 

 

Filling:

2 Tablespoons butter...divided

3/4 cup celery...sliced

1 1/2 cups Cheddar cheese...shredded

1 (4 ounce) can mushroom stems and                                                pieces..drained

1/4 cup Kellogg's Corn Flake...CRUMBS

 

Melt 1 tablespoon butter over low heat in a skillet. Add celery ans saute til tender. Combine celery, cheese and mushrooms. Spoon onto meat shell. Melt remaining butter and add crumbs. Still well. Sprinkle crumbs over filling. Bake at 350* for 30 40 minutes.
