Caramel Macchiato Banana Bread

Doesn't that sound delicious???

I just finished dinner ... and thinking about what to have for dessert (I desperately need something sweet) and opened my email and saw this recipe from Allrecipies dot com.

(back later ... I'm going to have a piece of marshmallow devils food cake.)

Oh my goodness, now I want a huge iced decaf Carmel Macchiato  with nonfat milk from Starbucks & this yummy banana bread but will have to settle for 3 prunes & a glass of water...I'm not happy!

Re: Caramel Macchiato Banana Bread

Bananas were 25cents a lb last week, I made a batch of these, they are easy and wonderful.   I skipped the topping.

Ingredients
Brown Sugar Topping
Instructions
1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
3 mashed bananas
1 egg
1/3 cup melted butter
3/4 cup white sugar

TOPPING:
2 tbsp all purpose flour
1/8 tsp cinnamon
1/3 cup brown sugar packed
1 tbsp butter
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease muffin tin with oil.
2. Mix together flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda together. In a separate bowl or stand mixer beat together
bananas, egg, melted butter, and sugar. Slowly add your flour mix into your banana mix. Mix until combined and then
spoon into prepared muffin tin.
3. In a small bowl add flour, cinnamon, brown sugar, and butter. Use a fork to mix together. It should end up looking like
crumbles. Add these on top of your muffins before baking.
4. Bake for 17-19 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean after being inserted into the muffin.

Re: Caramel Macchiato Banana Bread

I made this the other day, still finishing it. Delicious! It was a different recipe. This one uses expresso powder and liquid coffee creamer. Perfect for us because I'm always buying the cream and never end up using it. Smiley Happy

No

I searched for simple banana muffin and I picked the one with the fewest ingredients.
