I bought 6 cans a few months back since I did not know if it would be readily available this baking season. I already had 2 cans. Can't wait for some pumpkin bread.

I stocked up at the end of last year, the expiration date was good until 2023 so I'm set. It's so frustrating finding things now. If you see it grab it is my new motto.

Last year there was some factors that cause a smaller than normal crop so I suspect supplies may be running out until they start getting this years crop processed.  That said the supply could possibly be even more limited this year according to this article posted earlier this year. Early Onset Of Pumpkin Blight Could Squash Our Thanksgiving Pie Supply | STLPR (stlpublicradio.org) Let's hope the major growers spotten the issue in any fields they maintain and damage was kept to a minimum.

I've been watching my local Sams Club since they only carry canned pumpkin as a seasonal item.  I use it as fiber in my dogs diet and go through about one large can a week.  The prices most years at Sam's I get three cans for less than I pay for two at most other locations even when the major stores are having sales.  Knowing last years crop was short I stocked up and will do so again if the supply chain opens up.  I've got about nine cans left from what I bought last year and if the supply and or prices are too high I many have to look at unsalted green beans as an alternative source of fiber for my dogs.

I was at Walmart today and found some Libby's on the shelf. They had a few flats if 15 oz. cans so got some since it's a gamble if it'll be available later - $2.18 a piece.  They had the large cans too.

I had a little trouble finding it last October.  I bought 6 cans after Thanksgiving last year in Target for .50 each.  Good until January 2023.  I mix it with spice cake or chocolate cake box mix  (only two ingredients, the dry mix and the 15 oz can).  Makes the best muffins.  Ready for some pumpkin........❤️❤️❤️
