Re: Can you share your "favorite" ambrosia salad -- made without nuts

I know you said "ambrosia" but this has been really popular on here.....

Grape Salad

1 lb seedless red grapes
1 lb seedless green grapes
8 oz pkg cream cheese... softened
1/2 cup sugar
8 oz container sour cream
1 Tablespoon vanilla
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 cup chopped pecans

Place grapes in a large serving bowl. Combine cream cheese & granulated sugar, stirring well. Combine sour cream & vanilla in a separate bowl.
Combine cream cheese mixture & sour cream mixture. Add to grapes, stirring well. Top w/brown sugar & pecans.

DO NOT STIR.

Cover & chill overnight.

Re: Can you share your "favorite" ambrosia salad -- made without nuts

I recently made ambrosia using Alton Brown's recipe from Food Network. Everything was fresh or from scratch. It took some time, and I'm not sure if I would make it that way everytime, but it was very good.

I even made the marshmallows! Fresh pineapple, fresh coconut, whipped cream, fresh oranges. Very tasty.
