I am asking for a friend, as I have no idea..She made a banana pie using sliced bananas and inatant banana pudding, but she wants to freeze some of it, and is not sure if it is okay to freeze it, or if it will turn funky..? Anybody know..? THANKS!!

I would say probably yes depending on how it is made. Sometimes the main part of the pie can be frozen but the topping will not hold up well. Whipped cream in a can, or homemade for instance can't be frozen on a pie. The bananas should be under the pie mixture...they will turn brown, if not.
it will probably be best if eaten slightly still frozen. I would thaw out for 30 minutes and serve.

I don't think it would freeze/thaw very well. I've never tried it, but I froze a cream soup awhile back, BIG mistake.

Guess you're just gonna have to have banana pie for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!
Or, you could invite all of us over!

I think yes! all those frozen pies at the store have whipped topping.

I freeze a lot of food but would not freeze that pie...it will either not freeze or be very watery when thawed.

Funky.
The sliced bananas will come out brown & watery.

I make a No bake banana split cake often. It takes about 3-4 large ripe sliced bananas to make it. The bananas are covered with ingredients and topped with Cool Whip. the whole thing is kept in the freezer until ready to serve. I store it for weeks sometimes.
The bananas are not brown or watery at all. Bananas freeze well if not exposed to the air.
