I've been told the way I make banana bread is pretty darn good.

So I use the box of banana bread, I add walnuts (smashed up), I add very ripe bananas (smashed up) in the mix, then I mix up cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle it on top of the banana bread right before I put it in the oven.

It comes out very moist and delicious.

I got the yellow cake mix today, the only ingredient I was missing. I'm going to add walnuts. If anyone has baked this with walnuts, did you toss the nuts in some flour before adding them to the mixture? I heard that will prevent any added ingredients from sinking to the bottom of the cake.

I’ve made this and just followed the instruction on the cake mix box, which included oil.

I added 3 mashed bananas, a small box of coconut pudding, a handful of coconut, and another handful of chopped pecans. Super easy and moist!

@butterfly123 I made this today exactly as the recipe stated and used walnuts. It turned out very moist and tasted just like the banana bread I make from scratch. But this is so simple and easy. Thanks for posting. It is a definite keeper.

Betty Crocker's version of this recipe calls for 1/3 cup of veg oil and 3 eggs. I've never made this so I can't say yay or nay.

This is good with blueberries in it as well. I have four bananas that are getting too ripe so I will bake some if I have a cake mix...I don't buy them very often.
