CORRECTED RECIPE FOR LENTIL AND MORE SOUP!!!

My apologies..there was error in the orginal recipe i posted...here is the corrected recipe...again i am so sorry!

Lentils And More Soup

2 1/2 cups (1 pound) dried lentils

12 cups water ...divide in half

3/4 cup onions...finely chopped

2 cups celery...chopped

1/4 cup butter

2 beef bouillon cubes

2 teaspoons (or to taste) salt

1/4 cup catsup

1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce

2 teaspoons kitchen bouquet

1 cup potatoes...diced

2 cups carrots...thinly sliced

1 pound frankfurters...cut in 1/4 inch slices

Wash and drain lentils.

Put in stockpot. Add 6 cups water. Bring to boil. Lower heat and simmer 45 minutes. Saute onion and celery in butter in saucepan. Add vegetables, remaining 6 cups water, bouillon cubes, salt, catsup, tomato sauce and kitchen bouquet to lentils. Bring to a boil. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer covered til vegetables are tender (about 35 minutes) This will make about 16 cups of good hearty soup!
