6 medium potatoes - pare and quarter

3T butter

2C diced cabbage

6 green onions - sliced - include some of the green part

1/2C hot milk (not boiled)

1t salt

Cook potatoes as usual for mashed potatoes.

Meantime: Melt 2T butter on low heat.

Add cabbage and onions - Cover.

Simmer X 5 minutes or til tender but not browned.

Drain and mash potatoes til smooth.

Gradually add milk and beat til fluffy and creamy.

Mix in salt, cabbage & onions well & put into serving bowl.

Make indentation in top with back of a spoon & put rest of butter in it.
