CHICKEN SOUFFLE...Good For Company Too!

4 Chicken Breasts

16 Slices of Bread (crusts cut off)

8 Slices American Cheese

6 Eggs, 3 Cups Milk,1/2 tsp. Salt, 1/2 tsp. Dry Mustard

For Topping:

3 Cups Dry Cereal, crushed

1/2 Butter (1 stick)

1 Can "Golden Mushroom Soup

Prepare 8 hrs. to 1 day before baking: Steam (boil) chicken 1/2 hour, cool, remove from bone. Place uncrusted bread (8 slices) in 13 x 9 pan. Arrange chicken on each piece of bread. Place 1 slice of cheese on each sandwich. Top with remaining 8 slices of bread.

Beat eggs, milk, salt and dry mustard with mixer and pour over sandwiches to saturate. Cover 8 hrs. or longer in frig. After, mix crushed cereal and melted butter. Sprinkle over sandwiches. Bake 350 degrees for 1 hr. uncovered.

Before serving, spoon "Golden" Mushroom Soup over each serving on individual plates.

NOTE: Do NOT use Cream of Mushroom Soup. Personally I love this recipe and always a hit. Made it many times for company and seem to be a pleaser!!!
