Hey Ladies,
Here's the deal...........the DH loves brussel sprouts. His mom made them all the time when he was growing up ( first in Georgia-and then later in Delaware).
I don't like them at all! He says it was like a vinegar glaze. I'm starting to feel guilty that I can't make him something that he loved growing up. I've tried over the years to make some for him. But they are always horrible and bitter. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here. Maybe I don't know how to prepare them correctly? Any recipes or prep help would be so much appreciated.
Now, I've recently copied some entree recipes (from this site) that "include" the sprouts, but I'm looking more for a way to cook them by themselves for a side dish.
I would really appreciate any responses with recipes. But please know I won't be offended if you include how to "prep" the sprouts as well. I need to start from kindergarten here when it comes to this veggie!!
Thanks in advance to all who respond!! Tango.
