So many dishes I have made over the years calls for buttered bread crumbs..Just wanted to share my method as it makes a great topping for casseroles and other dishes that call for buttered breadcrumbs...

Buttered Breadcrumbs

Put enough dry bread in a food processor and process til it makes breadcrumbs. . You will need to have 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs .Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a small skillet over medium low heat. As soon as butter is melted and kind of foamy, stir in the 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs. Continue stirring until crumbs are evenly crisp and golden brown.
