I use Duncan Hines and have never had a "complaint".  I do add- ins like walnuts, chocolate chips, chopped candy bars, etc.

I cook 3-5 minutes less than calls for as they continue to cook when cooling.

@homedecor1 : I do the same thing with the brownie mix. I use a special pan. Use the middle oven rack and cook only 30 minutes. I have two friends that kept requesting my recipe. One Christmas purchased the special pan and attached the recipe and included box of brownie mix. They were very shocked. The pan:A4AE12A7-A3E7-4876-B498-81B2D9325AE5.jpeg

I think this is the same recipe I have made many times that was on the back of the Baker's chocolate pkg. Very moist and easy to make.

We are not big coffee drinkers here, but I always add cold coffee to my DH brownie mix instead of water.

@homedecor1 : 😃. Really made a difference for me in baking brownies. Purchased the first one from Walmart and later received a catalog and the price reduced to $1.67 and shipping was very reasonable- I purchased 4.

This is a ? about the pan.  I always line my pan with parchment for easy removal BUT have had NO LUCK getting the insert to work🤦‍♀️

The brownies sticks and don't come out cleanly, even though I've sprayed it heavily with Pam.  So now I bake the brownies (or cake) w/o inserts and then use as a guide to cut.

Any suggestions for me as I love that pan but ...

thank you🙂

4 Ingredient Brownies

1 chocolate cake mix - 1 small box instant chocolate pudding mix - 2 cups milk - 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips.

Prepare pudding mix with the 2 cups milk, just mix until

in corporated. Stir in cake mix, batter will be stiff, add choc.

chips. Put in a preheated 350* oven in a greased 9X13" cake pan for 35 to 40 min. (If your oven bakes faster take out sooner). Do Not Overbake as these brownies are supposed to be very chewy and moist. I check for doneness, when the top springs back when lightly touched and sides puu away from pan. (No eggs or oil or butter needed.)

@homedecor1 : Don't know if this makes a difference. I spray the pan and insert heavily with Pam and let it sit a few minutes.  Immediately when I take the pan out of the oven using oven gloves I remove the insert. I use a plastic knife to go around the center to loosen the brownies and wiggle the insert for easier release. I have my sink filled with hot sudsy water and put the pan and insert to soak. I don't put them in the dishwasher. I can't cut anything straight and love the insert. I hope you find something that works for you.
