Brown Sugar & Mustard Chicken Breasts--serves 4
1/3 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup stone-ground mustard
1-1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Heat oven to 400 degrees.
In medium bowl, mix sugar and mustard
Place chicken in a 9 x 13 baking dish coated with cooking spray
Pour sugar-mustard paste over chicken.
Bake 25-30 minutes or until chicken reaches 165 degrees.
Remove chicken to a plate, cover and keep warm.
Pour pan juices into small saucepan, bring to boil.
Boil 2-3 minutes or until sauce slightly thickens. (Sauce will thin as it cools.)

I make a similar recipe that replaces the brown sugar with honey. and adds melted butter and curry powder.

The recipe in the original post was put out years ago by the Perdue Chicken people. I save anything that looks easy!
I agree it can apply nicely to other meats.
I often mix maple syrup (instead of brown sugar) with various types of mustard for use on pork tenderloin roasts and salmon.
