I found a recipe for Brie bites...brie wrpped in apuff pastry square.  Baked in a mini muffin tin.

The cheese goes in the center and a cranberry sauce on top...bake.

Pretty simple.  My husband does not like cranbery anything, but I do.   I was wondering if anyone had made this appetizer before what could be used instead of a cranberry sauce?

thanks

I make a similar recipe that calls for using frozen mini phyllo cups.  I place a small dollop of raspberry jelly in the bottom, and place a small cube of brie on top.  Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet until cheese is melted.

Would he like fig jelly?  I buy little jars at Whole Foods and spread it on everything and my family loves it.

I made these recently and I used bacon jam instead of cranberry

sauce. The original recipe calls for whole berry cranberry sauce instead of the jellied sauce. They are very good and easy to make.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.

@deepwaterdotter   frozen mini phyo cups...I have never seen those...that sounds easier than cutting the puff pastery into squares. I will see if my local grocery has that item.

The name of the cups is "Athens Mini Fillo Shells".
