Block Parties- Fun and Festive Ideas?

Every summer my SIL has an all-out block party. This year the theme is Cinco de Mayo. Does anyone have any fun recipe ideas that will hold up in the heat? I would love to make something that tastes good, is whimsical, finger food, that can go far. I would think 100 people will attend the fiesta! Muchas Gracias!{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}
