There was some recipe for breads and cakes that made the rounds in the 1970's or 80's in Oklahoma that was baked in a coffee can. I remember it sort of looked like a mushroom.
I know at least one of the recipes used evaporated milk and the bread was not really white but a little beige or yellow tint to it.
Then there were smaller ones that didn't rise out of the can too. But they were very popular for a time back in the day. Then later the Pampered Chef set of smaller tube pans and breads and cakes baked in them.
