Beef Jumble
8 ounces elbow macaroni
3 ounces cream cheese
1 pound ground beef
1/2 onion...minced
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon dried Thyme...crushed
pepper to taste
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese...shredded
1/2 green pepper...chopped
Cook macaroni. Drain and return to pan. Cut cream cheese into small pieces and stir into hot macaronii til it melts. Brown ground beef. Drain all but 2 tablespoons of the drippings. Push beef to the side of pan and saute onion and pepper til soft. Add tomato sauce, salt, Thyme and pepper. Mix all together. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Pour over macaroni mixture then stir in 3/4 of the grated cheese. Sprinkle remaining cheese over the top. Bake at 350* for 30 minutes. Uncover for the last 5 - 10 minutes to brown the top.
