Hey girls - I made the BEST baked ziti last week and my family is clammoring for more.... It's so easy..... I don't know if I got the recipe from this site or not, but here it is again.....

1 lb. ziti (or whatever macaroni you like)

1-1/2 lbs. browned ground chuck with 2 cloves minced garlic

1 -1/2 cups riccota cheese (with curds) NOT. the cream cheese consistency. I used the Polly-O Italian, part skim.

1-1/2 cups shredded mozzarella (I had a blend of Italian 4 cheese shredded) Save some for sprinkling on top when putting in oven.

1/2 cup grated parmesan (I had a combo of parm. and romano)

1 jar Mids sauce with meat. ( I like Mids because it's in a 32 oz. jar and is nice and thick)

Brown meat with garlic..... Boil macaroni and leave in collander in sink while you put the meat in a large bowl and add the sauce and all the cheeses, blending well. Then, add the pasta (saving some for a small macaroni salad) because one pound is a lot and may be too much for the 9x11 pan you will use.

Sprinkle remaining shredded cheese on top and put in 400 oven until cheese starts bubbling - about 20 minutes..... Just make sure it doesn't burn....

Hint: if your macaroni sticks together in the collander, just run cold water over it....

If anyone decides to make this, please let me know how it turned out...... It's really easy and nice and filling too.... I made a salad and garlic bread but it was really too much.....

Have fun and have a great week.....{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}
