Yum Haddock - for me it needs nothing - but what'cha looking for:   Stuffed with seafood (crab type) - a dressing sort like turkey stuffing?   I guess chopped pre-cooked veggies although I've never heard of it being done.

Clue?

@fthunt, I don't know - kinda open to anything, I guess.

All I can say is that on Fridays when they have in-store baked, stuffed haddock at the grocery store - I'm there!  In fact today, got there early around 10:30 'cause I was running errands and didn't want to miss out.  Can you believe I got the last piece!!!Woman LOL  They were baking a second batch that early in the morning!

While I didn't get their recipe, I know they put breadcrumbs/ritz, imitation crabmeat, butter into the stuffing - not sure what else.  Just found that much out 'cause I share this delicacy with my furbaby, Eddy, and wanted to be sure no onions/garlic were in it.

So, been thinking of making some for when the girls get together.  My cousin seldom has fish since one of her two daughters hates fish.  So, this would also be a nice treat for her.  But, haven't found anything when I searched online.  And, I'm not a seasoned cook, but, from the recipes I've read in this forum, all you 'guys' are great cooks.  That's what I want - 'down-home cooking' from the people here who cook so well, day in and day out.

Forgot to mention, @fthunt, since I've been doing Nutrisystem, I've been craving fish!  And we, Eddy and me eat tons of veggies (he's become a major vegetable eater!) so veggies would be good, too.

I could eat Haddock 7 days a week.  Ready cooked here is never stuffed - just dipped in egg   ? and rolled in cornmeal and deep fried (go to Google for recipes).    When I cook fresh at home - my tummy doesn't do well on deep fried ....so I bake it without a coating. I brush with butter - add parsley - flash of garlic powder - paprika and bake on foil (no clean up) for (Google helpful) 350 degrees for ?? 30 mins - depends on thickness of fish.

Now that Lent has started lines at fish fry places are out the door and down the street and the police are directing traffic.  It gets wild here for fish at this time.

Oooooh where do you Ladies live?  I haven't seen Haddock for sake anywhere since I left U.K. making my mouth water!  Hopefully when I move back to CA may see some there.

Here in MA, we always have haddock available.  Ithink halibut is more readily available in CA.

Northeast - Haddock!     Haddock is a FRESH water fish - not salt water.  Husband's sister, who lived in Florida after retirement, always wanted haddock when she came home.

Doubt if you'll find it in CA - however, you can buy online from Maine.  I just reviewed a website for fresh haddock (it no doubt will be frozen but haven't checked that out yet) and lobster.  Google and look for Maine.
