Does anyone have a recipe to use bagged Coleslaw besides the obvious of Coleslaw with dressing? Dh came home with three bags because they were on sale. I usually make the traditional Coleslaw with dressing and a recipe called Egg-roll-in-a-bowl. Just wondered if someone had any others that are good!😋

Re: Bagged Coleslaw recipes?

You can use it in any recipe that calls for cabbage, carrots, like a soup.

Maybe homemade ramen.

You can probably add it to potato salad, or chicken salad.

Egg roll in a bowl sounds good and a perfect use.

Re: Bagged Coleslaw recipes?

I use it instead of lettuce in what I call street tacos.

But, does any strore carry a good bagged coleslaw?  I use the Publix brand and I'm just not happy with it.  That's all they have in that store.  I just don't like the look of it in the bag and the texture wasn't right either.  I thnk it's too finely shredded.

I saw on Instagram in a post by saltandlavender a recipe for cole  slaw where she added a red and green apple, and suggested serving with ribs or pulled pork or using with ground pork for tacos.
Regular cole slaw is good in fish tacos, too.

Re: Bagged Coleslaw recipes?

I like to stir fry chicken, add some sliced onion and the slaw mix.  A little broth if necessary and some soy sauce.  So simple, but good.

Re: Bagged Coleslaw recipes?

@Starpolisher   I highly recommend the unstuffed cabbage roll recipe that @Zhills posted.  I think she (or another forum member) might have posted this, or something very similar, here several years back because I know it is in my repetoire since seeing it here and making it.

I loved the idea of not having to stuff and roll the individual parboiled cabbage leaves!  Less work, but same great flavors in the resulting dish!
