@Sooner   It's funny you say you'd never put ketchup and cheese on a burger.  To me, that IS the traditional way to eat it!  Then again, I'm a cheese freak and love so many different kinds.

As far as changing up burgers, the possibilities are endless with regards to toppings and sauces.

I was thinking the same thing! Where I'm from, that is the traditional way to eat burgers!  🍔 Mustard is for hotdogs! 🌭(unless you're a kid) 😅🤣😂

If I'm having a burger, I'm dressing it up all the way - cheddar cheese, bacon, fried egg, onion (raw or grilled), sugar free ketchup, tomato, dill slices - no bun, wrapped in large leaves of lettuce (iceberg or romaine).  It's messy, but I accept that.

If I want beef, for the flavor and experience of the beef, give me a steak seasoned with Gibson's Seasoned Salt and topped with truffle butter and light sprinkle of Baja Gold Salt after grilling.

I eat a lot of hamburgers.  I usually bake my own buns.  Sometimes I like to add pickled sliced jalapenos as I fry the burger; I may also melt some Swiss cheese over the peppers.  To this burger I like BBQ sauce, instead of ketchup.  My usual burger has ketchup, and a spoonful of homemade sweet pickle relish (made with green tomatoes, onions, peppers, and cabbage).  I don't care for mustard.  Another version is with ketchup, raw onion sliced thin, slices of fresh tomato, and a big leaf of butter crisp lettuce (from my "garden").

little mayo, little ketchup, and a tiny splash of hot sauce. Half slice American Cheese.
