Any ideas to change out the usual burger, cheese and ketchup?  Standard, but boring!Woman Frustrated

Been thinking of adding some stovetop to the burger mixture, but not sure.  Would appreciate any/all suggestions.

If you like Ranch dressing, you can add a packet to a lb of burger. I've had burgers with a packet of Lipton Onion Soup Mix. I sometimes stuff a little mozzaella and mushrooms in my burgers. There are probably lots of ideas on line. (I forget a lot of times that I can google things!)

Use different seasonings for the meat or use ground turkey instead

There are many cheeses to choose from that provide a different flavor profile

There are other sauces besides ketchup (ie A-1, Heinz 57, Chick-Fil-A)

I like to copy Burger King. Barbeque sauce cheese and French fried onions.

If you mean a totally different version of the same idea:

Hawaiian (chicken with grilled pineapple)

BBQ Burger

Mushroom Burger

For more ideas just look at the menu of Red Robin or other such places

Would never use ketchup and cheese on a burger.  I am traditional, a tiny bit of mustard, pickles and a good bit of onion sliced paper thin.

I buy those Best Maid pickles in the gallon or half gallon jars because they are the only ones sliced thin enough to use on a burger.  Its mostly about the meat and bread for me.

Look to changing toppings.  Different greens, onions, tomatoes or peppers.  It can make a real difference.

How about a veggie burger?  Black bean, rice, quinoa, farro?

I mix Pico de Gallo and/or a dollop of Salsa in with my burgers for a nice change of pace. Smiley Wink

@eddyandme

Can't add the link here but my favorite hamburger recipe of all time is online by Be Wild Eats, Western Bison Burgers with Crispy Onions and Whisky Mayo.

You could easily swap out the bison with beef, although they'd be good we don't make the crispy onions we use slices of red onion.

Spices added to the meat, so delicious!
