So easy and always gets raves at our Christmas gathering every year. Fun for parties.
BOURBON DOGS
1 bottle (small) ketchup
1 cup dark brown sugar
1 cup bourbon
1 lg package of cocktail hot dogs (or Little Smokies)
In saucepan, combine ketchup, brown sugar and bourbon. Bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for 2 hours. Add the cocktail hot dogs (or Little Smokies), to the sauce and heat through. Serve with toothpicks. (I usually serve in a chafing dish or fondue pot, to keep warm).
I highly recommend that you boil for the full 2 hours, so the bourbon can burn off.
