Your post inspired me (sort of) for last night's dinner.

• GF pasta (served hot)
• oven roasted veggies: kale, red/orange grape tomatoes, orange pepper and yellow squash
• turkey bacon- baked and crumbled
• chicken broth + a bit of butter and basil olive oil combined for a simple "sauce"
• chopped scallions
• fresh Romano cheese to garnish

I usually use turkey bacon but we had some of the real thing around the house.  I've noticed a lot of lite recipe creators and Weight Watchers will use real bacon when there's not that much in a serving.  Still... I like turkey bacon

Oh, yes, they definitely have flavor.  I looked into how others describe the taste and most say creamy and buttery.  I'd go with that.

They are heart healthy and can be used many ways.

@Noel7  My husband thinks he doesn't like avocados, so it was with a little hesitancy that I served this salad tonight.  He really liked it!

@Pinkandblue  We just had thunder and three drops of rain.  I got a new roof on June 5 th and am still waiting to see if it works.

@Kachina624- We got a new one (roof) in the spring...it held up fine during an unusual thunderstorm we had here last week....unfortunately our deep freeze did not, and we lost everything, as we were out of town. So not only did we miss some ACTUAL rain for once, but we also missed the breaker going out in the garage! 😕🙄👎🏼
