There is a store in our area that sells Australian licorice.  It is soft and chewy and very good.  Love it.  It's like potato chips.  You can't have just one.  Smiley Happy

[ Edited ]

I'm the only person in my family who loves black licorice.

I crave it from time to time.  I like the licorice wheels

that used to be sold in bulk at a few supermarkets.

I have found them also at Cost Plus World Market.

Re: Attn: LICORICE Lovers - Pls Explain

Thank you for the info re: anise, licorice, fennel, etc., etc.

Also, thanks for the memories re: Black Jack, Clove, etc. gum.

Could be that Cost Plus World Market carries one or two of those brands.  I ran across several 'retro' candies and gums there.

I seriously have special memories regarding anise.  Dare I say that I have a small bottle of pure anise extract (food grade) on my vanity tray. (Dab on my neck when I want to feel extra good.)

Sweet memories, as a child, recalling my mom and I baking anise flavored biscotti. Heart
