Hi All!
Just wondering if you have any ideas. I made chicken cacciatore the other night, and I always heat some of the pasta water, olive oil and chicken bouillion in a pan and add the cooked pasta in that to warm it through. Now I have quite a bit of cooked, flavored pasta but not sure what to add for a salad or something to use it up.
TIA

You can mix the pasta with grilled vegetables like squash, eggplant, zucchini and carrots. I went to some social event a few years ago and this type of pasta combination was served and it was deliciious.

I agree with @lgfan . Any type of veggie you have on hand can be used. Also, what about making a new meal with the pasta, shrimp and bacon are always good with pasta too. Or change the sauce to a peanut sauce and go the Thai route. The sky's the limit.

I frequently add some frozen peas to just cooked and still warm pasta. The residual heat warms the peas just enough so they don't lose their color and can be used in a cold pasta salad or further heated in Alfredo sauce along with some sort of meat or sliced sausage.
Other colorful additions are sliced or chopped red, green, yellow, orange bell pepper, whether the pasta is used in a salad or blended into any type of sauce.

Zucchini is always a nice "add in" for any red sauce

@cookinfreak Turn the flavored leftover pasta into a frittata. Eggs, parm/Romano, cracked black pepper. Start it on the stove in a frying pan and finish it off under the broiler. The pasta gets crispy and is delicious. They are really good with a nice side salad.
Good luck.

I've been making Giada's Pasta Primavera recipe for years, it's very good. You can add or subtract the veggies you like. I also make the Tik Tok pasta recipe. It's the easiest, most simple recipe I ever made and my daughter loves it. Let me know if you want the recipe.

I would love the recipe! Thank you
You all have such good ideas. You all can help me fill in the "blanks" when I get them!

1 lb. pasta (I use bowties or penne)
8 oz. block of Feta cheese
Cherry Tomatoes or Grape Tomatoes (I like cherry when I can find them). I use 3 of the small size cartons.
2-4 cloves of garlic (depending on what you like)
Pinch of kosher salt
1/2 cup of olive oil
Heat oven to 400.
Boil water....make pasta
Place block of feta cheese in center of 9x13 dish (I use Temptations)
Put in tomatoes surrounding the cheese
Pour 1/2 cup olive oil on top of chese and some of the oil on tomatoes ( I usually add a little extra) and sprinkle with Kosher salt. and add garlic. Stir.
Bake at 400 for 30 minutes
Then crank up to 450 for 5-10 minutes (until tomatoes start browning)
Remove from oven, add pasta and stir well.
Note: I usually add some pasta water to thin it out.
