[Honeybit]

I love this board and all the friendly support Recipe Swappers give each other. Two of my favorites are the "Lost Recipes of Past Posters" and the "Recipe Exchange Game." I always wonder, though, what other good recipes somebody else had for the "next ingredient" when the game moves on so fast. With the holidays coming sooner than we want to think, I wondered if you all might like an additional thread featuring a different TOPIC each month -- and you won't have to think so quickly about a chosen ingredient. (I can already think of several topics I'd like to see "swapped" between now and Christmas.)

My suggestion for a first try is: What's your favorite new recipe you've just added to your collection? Maybe something you tasted at a Potluck or got from a friend? I'll start with this one that I learned at a recent Sunday School Breakfast:

Sopapilla Cheesecake

2 cans Crescent Rolls

2 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese

1-1/2 cups sugar

1-1/2 tsp vanilla

1 stick butter

1/2 cup cinnamon-sugar mixture

Take crescent rolls directly out of refrigerator. Do not set out to room temp. Lay one can crescent rolls out in 9x13 pan, sprayed with Pam. Press dough so it covers the bottom of the pan; you needn't press the seams together. Mix cream cheese, sugar and vanilla together with mixer. Spread cheese mixture over the roll layer. Lay other can of crescent rolls on top of cheese mixture. Pour melted stick of butter on top and sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture on top of butter. Bake in 350 oven for 30-40 minutes. This is delicious and so easy!

Note: This was really good for breakfast and wasn't too sweet.
