Re: Anyone out there doing the WHOLE30?

@VaBelle35 - Wow!  That's incredible that you feel so much better.  That's the point of doing the 30 days to see how the food you were eating was affecting you.  Was your previous diet the typical processed high sugar/ bad fat/salt/carb diet?  I'll be curious to see what happens to me after 30 days.

@DecorDiva  No, not at all.  I was doing the Eat Clean Diet, and eating mostly organic whole foods and grassfed protein, so for me it was just eliminating grains and sugar.  So I didn't get the headaches and withdrawal that most people do and I only lost 4.5 lbs.

Re: Anyone out there doing the WHOLE30?

I've done the Whole 30 twice and keep saying I need to do it again. I lost weight, got rid of the brain fog, felt better, and slept better. I've tried to eat primarily since, but I've been cheating more and more as work has gotten more stressful. Smiley Sad

I know that you're supposed to eat 3 meals per day, but I would often do IF. Egg muffins are also good for an easy breakfast since you can make them ahead of time and just reheat.

@DecorDiva

How is your Whole30 going?

@pinkmochi

I applaud your ability to do it twice.  Once was enough for me.  LOL  My primary care physician tried a Whole30 after I raved about it at my physical.  When I saw her in September she said she got to day 13 and missed her yogurt and granola for breakfast so much that she had to stop.

What saved me was that I was SUPER busy with work, so I really didn't have time to think about food I was missing.  By the time I came up for air, I was on day 27 and I had 3 days to figure out what I was going to do on day 31 (I settled on Primal Blueprint and have been on it ever since).  Because I was so strict on it, I really had no desire to eat anything I had cut out.  I tried to have a cup of tea with sugar and I had to pour it out.

You have to LOVE to cook because you have to make all of your own food for these 30 days, as you have no way of controlling what is used in restaurants.
