I live in Wisconsin which had significant German immigration in the early 1900's.  Even today, German traditional foods can be found on many restaurant  menus and served commonly in households.  My German family ate liver sausage and other German dishes which I place at the bottom of the list of my food favorites today.  Since it is all my mother cooked and all I ate as a child, I never eat it today.  I did not have my first taco or pizza until high school.  I never looked back! LOL!!
