Anyone Else Watch "Thanksgiving Live" on Food Network on Saturday Morning?

It was aired during "The Kitchen"'s regular timeslot.  Lots of traditional dishes with interesting twists.  Sunny sure did put a lot of cheese in her mac and cheese recipe.

That's what I told DH when she was doing it.  He looked up and saw it done.  Sure wish I'd been GZ so I could have tried it.  LOL

Fate whispers to her, "You cannot withstand the storm." She whispers back, "I am the storm."

Excellent show!  I always made gravy ahead like Katie does.  It makes life so much easier.

Her brussel sprouts salad looks wonderful too!

Not a big fan of mac and cheese, especially some with this much cheese!  But they have had lots of good ideas.

Yes. I liked Katie's make ahead gravy.

Did not like the appearance of Alex's mashed potatoes, but I think I will try her cheesecloth soaked in butter for the turkey breast.

I saw part of it.

Never thought of roasting the pearl onions with the brussel sprouts.  I can't imagine running my oven for 40min at 400+ degrees so I'm wondering if the veggies could be thawed out and roasted.

Normally they re-run the Kitchen on Monday mornings so hopefully I'll catch the parts I missed.

BF's father used to make mac & cheese w/5 different cheeses.  I've been trying to get the recipe from BF's exwife.

I record it every week. It's the only FN show I bother to watch these days. I always learn something.  I just started up my recording and realized it's a live broadcast, but of course it's not actually live for me since I'm watching it on my DVR.  In any case, yes... I really like the show.  I don't miss Marcella at all. She had nice recipes, but it's calmer now with only the four of them.

I was curious why Marcella left. Anyone know?
