Anybody ever heard of this ?

Biscoff creamy cookie spread?   New to me.

In my latest Taste of Home mag I found a cookie recipe that calls for one cup of this stuff. Never heard of it. Is it like Nutella ?

Re: Anybody ever heard of this ?

@SharkE   I googled because I didn't know what it was either...  Here's what it said:

Biscoff Cookie Butter is the irresistible, spreadable treat made from Biscoff Cookies. You will love this sweet, creamy, European spread as an alternative to nut butters and chocolate spreads. It’s the only cookie butter made with original Biscoff Cookies.

Never heard of it. Guess I'll skip that recipe, then. I can look at Walmart and see if they would carry it.

Thanks !

I have seen it, but never tried it.  It is in a jar and looks like peanut butter.

My local Wegmans has it.  Amazon has it too. They have almost everything.

Re: Anybody ever heard of this ?

I buy the Biscoff cookies by the dozen but never heard of the spread. The cookies are cinnamon flavored, biscuits. Great for dipping in tea or coffee. I'll also look for the spread the next time I am in Walmart. Thanks.

In another bowl, cream Biscoff, butter & sugars until light & fluffy.

Beat in egg and vanilla.

Gradually beat in flour mixture, stir in oats. Refrigerate at least 3 hr

Bring dough to room temp. Using a medium cookie scoop, drop mounds of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper

Bake cookies until lightly browned, 15-18 minutes. Rotating pans halfway thru baking time.

Cool on pans 5 minutes. Remove to cool completely.

Makes 16 cookies

I don't care for it.  It just tastes very sweet to me.  I have tasted a sample at Trader Joe's.

@SharkE

Yes-have tried the creamy and crunchy version of Biscoff spread.  We can purchase it in our local Walmart where the peanut butter is located.   It is very sweet and decadent.  I don't keep it in the house because it is too easy to eat a spoonful at a time when you want something sweet then all of a sudden, the jar is empty!  It tastes like ground up Biscoff cookies-not like chocolaty hazelnut nutella but just as "dangerous" to have on hand!
