When my children were growing up, I made this recipe named "Ants on a Log."

Celery sticks

Peanut Butter

Raisons

1. Cut, trim, and wash the celery, cut into sticks

2. Spread peanut butter on the celery sticks

3. Put raisins on top of the peanut butter

My children enjoyed this snack, and the name is cute. (I, also, enjoy this snack.)

@peacepoet Haha, I have done that for years also. I make my own nut butter. But, if I really want to treat the kids I put mini chocolate chips on the "log". Oh, and I treat myself sometimes too.

Ants On A Log was a popular day care snack until they had to stop because of peanut allergies which can be very dangerous.

This is good with cream cheese instead of peanut butter.

You're welcome.  I have seen a child in anaphylactic shock from peanut butter.  The ambulance was called. Very, very scary!

I've had a lot of peanut butter on apple slices, crackers, triscuit, and just a spoon but prefer that without the celery and raisins! 

A note about celery:  I switched to only organic years ago and it is soooooo much better!  Organic actually tastes a lot better in celery and a few other things.

I used to make this for my kids....made plenty for school for treat day too.

Can't do that any more because of allergies.
