This salad was our dinner tonight, and it was delicious. Thanks for posting it!

 

I'm sure you can make this recipe with bottled ranch, but I decided to make some ranch dressing with Hidden Valley Original Buttermilk Ranch Dressing Mix (that you add buttermilk and mayonnaise to). It makes a lot, so I used some of it for this recipe (adding the barbecue sauce) and saved the rest for later. 

 

The salad is adaptable. I added peeled and cubed cucumber and thinly sliced red onion. Avocado would be great, I think.

 

What makes this salad special is the "barbecued ranch dressing" component. It's really tasty. Next time, I think I'll add a dash or two of hot sauce to the dressing. For barbecue sauce, I used Sweet Baby Ray's.
