10/21 Aldi's has an induction burner for $40.00  I paid almost $100 for mine about 5 years ago and love it.

I saw that!  Have been debating whether to buy it to add to my NuWave cooktop.  Great price.

I saw it in their ad too. I'm debating if I need on or not. What do you use yours for?

Nighowlz, we have a glasstop range which is impossible to regulate the heat.  Have tested it against the NuWave on boiling water and the NW is much faster.  My husband uses it for most everything, browning meats, etc.

Be sure to note the wattage on an induction burner . Compare to the new new-wave induction cooker which I think is 1500 W.  All induction cookers are not created equal.

I got a burner about 18 months ago, set it on my glass top stove and haven't used the stove since.  They heat and cool off so fast.  You have very precise temperature control.

Good point about wattage, kachina624.  Didn't show up on my advertisement, so for the heck of it, I did a Google.  Said it's 1800 watts.  Woo-hoo!  (I'd check the actual box to be sure.)

That is an excellent price for that cooktop.  I have purchased appliances from Aldi before and have never had a problem.

I already have a NuWave otherwise I would be all over this (and may still take a look see anyway) . . . Smiley Happy

There you have it - more reasons why WE LOVE ALDI'S!!!!!

I've found some bathroom rugs in my Aldi's for unbelieveable cheap prices.  Have used them and washed them - perfect!!!  AND the colors that I've been looking for - a great oatmeal and a great milk choc brown.  Both match a beautiful shower curtain in my bathrm.

I'm thinking about that induction burner for use down at my "she - cave". I wouldn't be doing much cooking, really. I have an old Corning Ware tea pot I would probably like to use on it.

For those who know .... is any type of cookware ok with these or would I need something special?  TIA
