I see that most people roast their squash.  I still do ... sometimes.   

 

I've also microwaved a rock hard butternut squash in just ten minutes, scraped out the soft squash, added butter and brown sugar and cinnamon or whatever.

 

Sometimes you just don't have an hour for roasting.

I mostly roast squash --zucchini I will stir fry or steam very fast or it turns to mush. My fave is the delicata squash and spaghetti, also acorn and butternut--remember those solid square frozen squash from the store?? OMG--my mom used those all the time--not a fan then---but I do like squash now. There are so many types available now days. I usually put in a pat of butter and brown sugar as they roast--I cut them in half first.. Butternut squash, I put in my pressure cooker and to make soup. Sometimes I sprinkle with spicy seasoning too. I have grilled the slices on my outdoor Ninja grill.
