A&W Root Beer Freeze

Since I'm not going anywhere to buy one, I have started making my own.

I bought A&W root beer then freeze. It is has to be soft enough to get out of the bottle. I put it in a big mug and add vanilla ice cream.

Not really a recipe but I thought I would share.

Rootbeer floats are some of my very favorite things. Growing up in the midwest we called them "Black Cows" when I was growing up. For my 60th birthday party 3 years ago in honor of that my husband had a Root Beer Float station set up. It was awesome and people LOVED it.

Arby's is selling coke floats and root beer floats. The small size (quite adequate) is a dollar; I always get the medium (warning: they are addictive!).

Good to know, I'm out the door right now to get a large if they have them.
