I am sitting here eating one of the best salads.  I washed, tore, and spun my romaine lettuce.  Then I added a pear cut into bite size pieces, an apple also cut into bite size pieces, some whole cashews and dried cranberries.  For the dressing I mixed apple cider vinegar, olive oil, water, and sugar.  Then I poured it over the salad ingredients and that's it.  Sorry, I don't have any measurements, as I just pour and add until it tastes right.

@wismiss THANK you!   This is exactly my kind of salad--and I have everything to make it!  It will be great with our rice and shrimp tonight!

Too much sugar for me. But,I'll bet it is tasty.

Sounds good!  And I actually have most of those items.  I would substitute almonds for the cashews but otherwise, yummy!

Sounds delicious!  And thank you for the inspiration.  I'll make similar with lettuce or spinach, pears, gorgonzola cheese and pecans,  That's what I have on hand. Smiley Happy

@rockygems123 I am crazy about pears and warm gorgonzola or pears and warm brie!  Oh and red grapes!  We discovered that when we were in New Orleans during a hurricane and room service sent up the most beautiful fruit and cheese tray I ever saw for dinner!

It was so good most of my husband's burger went begging that night!  That LONG night! But was a small hurricane thank goodness--but big enough to scare me!

The hurricane sounds terrifying!  That's great you had wonderful food, that helped with the nerves...and maybe a glass of wine?!
