Re: 6 Inch Cake Pan - Great for Small Recipes!

[ Edited ]

@RespectLife  : My pans are 3" deep I cut into 2 layers (I make 2-6"). Below I posted Wilton chart I use as a guide.

Haha you're not a pest😉.  I just gave a decorating lesson using this technique.

Put a sheet pan under area (I use 1/2 sheet size)

Hold cake from bottom (my cakes are always "glued with icing on bottom layer on cake boards). Slightly tip cake on side while turning.  I toss nuts on (the excess drops on tray).  slowly turning until completely around sides.  Once most on, I add by pressing extra on, if necessary.

Takes a few times to get good at it🙂

Hope this helps

Oh phooey, I bought the 2" deep pans.  That was what came up and I didn't even realize when placing the order they came in dif options!

Your system may work for these small cakes!

I have tried it that way w/ 9" and 10"...but my hands aren't large enough to hold it without it cracking and my one hand wasn't strong enough to hold a full fize cake...but a 6" should fit fine in my hand.

Thanks!  I will give it a try soon.

Oh thanks @homedecor1  !!

I just ordered the 3" depth as well.  I can use these pans for so many things...even in my AF.
