"Pop of Color" is bad enough.....but I heard a vendor say "Pop of White" recently. I think it was in reference to a handbag. 

I did very much enjoy Isaac get annoyed a week or two back when Shawn used the "Pop of Color" expression. He hates it and said so.....it was funny!

The one word that drives me absolutely nuts is FABRICATION when hosts use it to mean FABRIC.  A "fabrication" is that act or process of manufacturing or inventing something, as in, "that story is a total fabrication," or "the factory specialized in the fabrication of storm windows."  FABRIC is . . . well, FABRIC, the cloth that something is made of, and adding "ation" on the end doesn't add emphasis.

I have enjoyed this forum so much. I am happy to see that I am not alone in watching the slow and persistent deterioration of our beautiful language. ALL the phrases and words mentioned are irritating to me as well.

There used to be be pride in how we spoke and wrote. Of all the hosts, Lisa Mason was and is the ONLY well spoken one. It also seems as if the people overseeing the programming (producers, all powers to be,etc,) are not well spoken as they permit all of the verbal faux pas. I would suggest hiring conversation specialists and retraining the whole lot. take example from the elegant newscasters.
