Perhaps some posters are longing for the days when host presented themselves polished and professionally.

The previous host may not be coming back, but nothing wrong with wishing their type of behavior would returned.

@Etoile308   very, very true! Polished and professional yes indeed. The lack of this with some hosts md vendors is why I will not watch. Plus I admit, about the time I stopped watching the internet world of shopping was opening up, and more choices. I would love more products in one show, faster presentations, more professional hosts that deliver the facts, and measurements. I can remember the last show I watched, I had witted for. I had waited for a handbag. I watched the whole presentation , they didn't give measurements nor did they open the handbag to show lining or if it had pockets.  lol.

Re: remembering QVC hosts from the past

@shoekitty, exactly. What a pleasure it used to be on a Friday evening watching a host present a purse and knowing the details, even without a vendor.

All features were mentioned. All measurements given. I can't remember the last time I heard a host mention the drop length of a purse strap.

Potential customers should not have to go online to find this information, which often isn't available there. QVC squanders the advantage they have over other online retailers.

@Etoile308  I am a handbag collector, antique and modern or vintage. I have found handbags are one of those items , like some jewelry that always appear smaller, or out of proportion in size than in person. Drop length is important.  Especially when you get one the bags that doesnt have removable or adjustable straps. I loved how Kathy would  point out when an item on monitor appeared smaller or larger than it was in person.  So many facts they gave. Also, Kathy and most of the hosts went into detail describing the actual color.  now a days people have large  screens, or can go online.  Back in the day you couldn't.

I think you've combined the name of 2 hosts. There was a host named Steve Colantuno. I liked him as a host. He passed away in 2021.  There was also a host by the name of Paul Deasy who's married to Judy Crowell.

@Lovestheshores  there also was Paul Kelley. He and Steve Colantuno used to pretend to be brothers and claim, "Mother liked me best." They were hilarious.

There's always a lot to be thankful for if you take time to look for it.
For example, I am sitting here thinking how nice it is that wrinkles don't hurt.

I may have liked some past hosts...or not. While I wish everyone well, hosts are not my friends or acquaintances. Life moves on. I don't miss any of them.

@shoekitty

Sometimes the TV monitors and/or website orders might make the color look a little different than the actual color of the product.....A good host and/or Producer will share this information in the show. Leah has pointed this out on AM Style from time to time....EXAMPLE:."your screen may be showing pink, but its actually more peach in person...:

@spabar   Thank you for the memory of Paul Kelly, I do remember him loved him as well. It was such a pleasure to watch. Paul and Steve were like the Smothers brothers, lol.

I also enjoyed Steve Bryant and agree, he was a great salesman! Talented guy. He's on fb... and posts often.
