Re: remembering QVC hosts from the past

Mike Rowe has a number of commercials and is entertaining in the show "Dirty Jobs." Some unique ones. He is also is a promoter of Technical Education for work force development.

@Estellee   Oh, yes...I love Mike Rowe's foundation to endorse and support vocational training for students as an alternative to liberal arts colleges.

Re: remembering QVC hosts from the past

Does anyone remember Jeffrey Hewsom -- think that's how he spelled his name.  He did a Saturday night Gold show which we watched faithfully -- we didn't watch for the gold -- he was so good looking.  His model was Candy.  Those were the days.

Re: remembering QVC hosts from the past

I believe that Antonella colored her hair that horrible bonde, and that was the beginning of her downfall at QVC. So, she did that BEFORE she was fired. Even if she did lose some through chemo, her natural color was lovely with her complexion. I have no idea why she still colors it that way, other than she must like it.

She was always insecure when she was on the air, but once she went blonde, she went totally off the rails. I think that was also around the time there was a rumored poll that went out to some people about hosts, and I think she was specifically mentioned. I don't blame her for worrying about that, but she was never the same.

Unfortunately, they never seem to go away.
